Become One helps couples and organisers collect photos, videos, and guest-book messages from their event guests through a QR code. This page explains what we collect and how we use it. We are based in the United Kingdom. Questions: [email protected].
What we collect
- Couples and organisers. The name and email you use to create an account, and your event details (such as the event name and date).
- Guests. The display name a guest types for attribution, and the photos, videos, audio, and written messages they choose to upload. Guests do not create accounts.
- Basic technical data. Standard server logs needed to run and secure the service.
Registering interest in the beta
If you register interest in the beta we store the name, email address and (if you give one) event date you submit, so that we can invite you when the beta opens. We do not share this with anyone, and we do not add you to any other mailing list. Email [email protected] at any time and we will delete it.
How we use it
We use this information to run your event gallery: to show approved contributions, to let the couple review, hide, or download them, and to display them on a reception slideshow if you turn that on. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Where it is stored
Uploaded photos, videos, and audio are stored with a third-party object-storage provider and transferred over encrypted connections. Related details (names, captions, event settings) are kept in our database. We use a small number of processors to host and run the service, and they are only permitted to process data on our instructions.
How long we keep it
Contributions are kept while your event is active. Couples can hide or delete content at any time, and our staff can permanently remove content that breaks these terms. If you close your account, we delete your event data. While the service is in beta, features and retention may change.
Your choices
Guests can ask the couple to remove anything they contributed. Couples can delete their own content and account. Under UK data-protection law you can ask us to access or delete your personal data. Contact [email protected] and we will respond.
Cookies
We use only the essential cookies needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product develops. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
